Clinical massage

Clinical massage is beneficial for those suffering with chronic or muscular pain conditions such as carpel tunnel syndrome, repetitive strain injury, frozen shoulder, sciatica, migraines and whiplash to name a few. Clinical massage can also help with injury and scar tissue rehabilitation.
Using the Jing Method of advanced clinical massage, your treatment will involve a discussion about your health, lifestyle, and pain issues, an assessment of your range of motion, and a hands on treatment. This approach blends the best of advanced bodywork techniques from both East and West including trigger point, fascial work, acupressure and stretching with a truly holistic approach based on the biopsychosocial model of pain and modern neuroscience.
Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the external use of essential oils in holistic treatments to improve physical and emotional well-being. Essential oils, extracted from plants, possess distinctive therapeutic properties, which can be utilised to improve health and prevent disease. Aromatherapy is an especially effective treatment for stress-related problems and a variety of chronic conditions.
Your aromatherapy treatment will involve a discussion about your health and lifestyle, and any issues you are experiencing. I will then select a small number of essential oils, appropriate to you and your condition. The method of application can vary and may include a massage treatment, application of a compress, drops to put in a bath or steam inhalation.
At the end of the treatment, I may recommend you use certain essential oils at home e.g. in the bath or on a tissue for inhalation, or create a blend specific for your needs. This will further enhance the benefits gained from your aromatherapy treatment.
Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Massaging these points helps the body to restore its balance naturally.
Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might notice sleeping better and find your mood and sense of wellbeing improving. Other aspects of your health may improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis.
Your reflexology treatment will involve a discussion about your health and lifestyle to ensure treatment is right for you. You will sit, fully clothed in a special reflexology chair while your feet are massaged.
Reiki

The practice of Reiki is a method of healing developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th Century. Reiki is a natural healing energy that works on every level, not just the physical, and is understood to promote the body's regenerative self-healing ability.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us and we experience a sense of well being. There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence Reiki works at bringing us into balance and is believed to reinforce the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system. As a natural form of healing Reiki can support and enhance other forms of treatment.
The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. Your treatment will involve a discussion about your health and lifestyle to ensure the treatment is right for you. You will remain clothed and lie on a couch or sit on a chair. I will gently place my hands non-intrusively, on or near your body. There is no massage or manipulation and the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.
