Update from North Star
Updated: Oct 2, 2021
Hello to all my lovely clients
I wanted to check in with you all & update you on the business during this crazy time.
I consider the treatments that I provide play an important role in your health & well being. For me one of the best feelings in the world is when a client tells me I have helped them by relieving their pain or reducing their stress levels. I take my position as one of your healthcare practitioners very seriously, and I want to protect your health & well being. I also don’t want you to feel alone, or having to put up with pain & restricted movement during this time of reduced social contact.
So, to minimize the risk of transmission of Covid-19 I have taken the decision to TEMPORARILY suspend all hands on appointments until this situation is over.
The good news is that I’m going to try something new & replace hands on appointments with video appointments tailored to your condition. The session will involve teaching you self help techniques such as trigger point therapy, self massage & exercises. Think of it as a coaching session, I will be guiding you through your own treatment. If you have a happy volunteer in your house I can teach them some techniques as well to help with those hard to reach places. It won’t quite be as good as getting a treatment from me in person but hopefully it will help you manage your condition during this time.
I will be messaging you all personally over the coming days to check in and see if this is something I can schedule in with you. As this is something brand new I would like to start with a FIRST FREE session. That way we can test it out & see if it works for you. If it does then I would charge for following sessions but at a reduced cost to my normal rates. I’m hoping that through these sessions we can prevent you feeling like your recovery is going backwards, and we won’t be starting from square one once we do get back into the treatment room. I can also take orders for your aromatherapy blends during these sessions which I will be selling.
In the meantime look after yourself and your friends and family & I’ll see you back in the treatment room on the side!
With love
Kylie
What else can you do?
There are general principles you can follow to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including:
stay at home as much as possible
wash your hands often - with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. This is particularly important after taking public transport
avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
avoid close contact with people who are sick
if you feel unwell, stay at home
cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin. See Catch it, Bin it, Kill it
clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home and work environment
If you are worried about your symptoms, please use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service. Do not go directly to your GP or other healthcare environment
For more information see the Public Health England Blog.
There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19 acute respiratory disease. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus.
